Founded by Dr. Darshan Shah, Beautologie has been voted Best of Bakersfield or Bakersfield’s Favorite in the Bakersfield Californian readers’ poll every year from 2005 to 2025. Today seven doctors care for patients across three locations in Bakersfield and Stockton, from first consultation to final follow-up.
Dr. Shah and Dr. James Knoetgen met at Mayo Clinic, and that standard of training runs through the practice: our surgeons trained at Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Columbia, The Ohio State University and the University of Miami, and our medical aesthetics practice is recognized among Galderma’s top 1% nationwide.

Our Bakersfield and Stockton surgery centers are fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), with the same emergency equipment as a hospital, in a peaceful 3,000-square-foot setting.

Community
Giving back.
Dr. Shah founded The Promise, a charitable organization that repairs cleft lips, palates and burn injuries for patients in India, Africa and South America. Beautologie has offered free tattoo removal for survivors of human trafficking with Breaking the Chains and United Way, and supports local causes from the Bakersfield Homeless Center to youth softball.
