About Dr. Knoetgen
Dr. James Knoetgen is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience, specializing in cosmetic surgery of the breasts and body.
He completed his general surgery residency at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital at Columbia University in New York, then his plastic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic, where he stayed for seven years as a staff plastic surgeon and professor of plastic surgery. It was at Mayo Clinic that he met Dr. Darshan Shah, and he moved to California to work with him again.
His work has been sought by national and international media including Vogue, and he has published articles and textbook chapters on cosmetic procedures. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
